A webshop manages its stock in Inventory Management by booking every supplier delivery onto a shelf location, registering each order as an outbound movement when it is picked, and counting the busiest locations regularly. The app runs on phones and scanners, so the person packing orders updates stock on the spot. It does not import orders from your webshop platform.
Why webshop stock goes wrong
A webshop sells stock it cannot see. The shop shows a quantity, but that figure is only as good as the last update, while the product itself sits on a shelf in a stockroom or small warehouse. Errors creep in at three moments: a supplier delivery is put away without being booked, an order is packed from a different shelf than the one on record, or a return goes back onto the rack unregistered. Each one leaves the shop promising goods that are not there. The fix is not a better spreadsheet but registering each movement when it happens, by the person handling the goods.
How a webshop works in the app
Inventory Management records stock per storage location, so it knows not only how many of a product you have but which shelf holds them. When a delivery arrives, you scan each product, enter the quantity and choose the location where it goes. A new product is created the first time you scan it in. When you pick an order, you open Outbound, scan the product and enter the quantity. If the product is stored in more than one location, the app shows each location with its current quantity and you divide the order line over them; the total must match before you can submit. Every movement is stored with the product, location, quantity, moment and device, so afterwards you can see which shelf an order was picked from.
Setting up in five steps
Most stockrooms can be running on the same day.
- Create your shelf locations — Give every rack, shelf or bin a code and create it in the app, one at a time or as a range such as A1 through A10. Put the same code on a label on the physical shelf.
- Book what is on the shelves — Walk the racks and register the current stock as inbound movements. The product list builds itself as you scan, so there is no catalogue to prepare or import first.
- Book supplier deliveries on arrival — Register each delivery onto the location where it is put away. Stock that has arrived but is not booked is stock the shop cannot sell.
- Register outbound per order — Book the goods out when the order is picked, not at the end of the day. If an order line comes from two shelves, split the quantity over both locations.
- Top up and count the fast movers — Move stock from overflow shelves to pick locations before they run empty, and count the locations that ship most often every few weeks. Moving is part of Basic; counting and replenishment are part of Premium.
What it costs for a webshop
You pay per device, not per order, so the price does not rise when you ship more. The free plan allows 100 transactions per month across all devices, which a shop shipping a few orders a day passes quickly once deliveries are counted too. Take a stockroom with one phone at the packing table and one Android scanner for receiving. On Basic that is 2 x 12,50 = 25,00 euro per month, or 2 x 134,99 = 269,98 euro per year, with unlimited transactions. On Premium, which adds counting, replenishment, 17 analyses and stock export, the same two devices cost 50,00 euro per month or 549,98 euro per year. The first month is free and needs no credit card.
When it is not the right fit
The app does not import orders from your webshop platform; you register outbound in the app. If you need orders and stock figures to flow automatically between your shop and your stockroom, look for a system with a direct connection to your platform. The app also needs an internet connection, so a stockroom without reliable wifi or mobile coverage is a poor match. And if all your orders are shipped by an external fulfilment warehouse, the stock lives in their system rather than on your shelves, and there is little left for this app to record.

Frequently asked questions
Does the app sync orders from my webshop?
No. The app does not import orders from your webshop platform. You register each order as an outbound movement in the app when it is picked, by scanning the product and entering the quantity.
What if one order line comes from two shelves?
Enter the full quantity in Outbound. When the product is stored in several locations, the app lists each location with its quantity and you divide the amount over them. It will not submit until the split adds up to the quantity you entered.
Do I need a barcode scanner to pack orders?
No. The camera on an Android phone scans the barcodes on packaging, and the app also runs in a desktop browser and on iPhone and iPad as a web app. A dedicated Android scanner is faster when you scan all day.
